We’re looking for an experienced P&C Advisor or P&C Business Partner who is passionate about delivering industry leading results and growing people into the best version of themselves. Reporting directly to the General Manager of People & Safety, this is a full time permanent position based within stunning modern offices in Paengaroa.

About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Advisor or Business Partner to deliver on big objectives, and to uphold, model and cultivate our client’s culture.
  
Your key accountabilities will be:

  • Developing and implementing People & Culture strategies.
  • Project Management of new and existing initiatives attached to continuous improvement working with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Creating and deploying engagement initiatives.
  • Developing and delivering learning and development strategies for new and existing staff, as well as performance management.
  • Resourcing, attracting, and onboarding of new employees, including remuneration and reward.
  • Wellbeing initiatives to support the team’s holistic health.
  • Change management, legal compliance, and HR policy development.
  • Health and Safety management and process improvement.
  • Employment relations.

  
About You:
This role requires an experienced HR professional with the core capabilities listed below.  Does this sound like you?

 

  • Experienced professional: You have a strong understanding of New Zealand employment law and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. You have strong business acumen; knowledge about key business issues and understand how People & Culture practices contribute to core business functions.
  • Strategic Thinker:  You effectively develop and deliver key People & Culture strategies, while providing credible strategic and operational advice.  You are a strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Relationship Builder: you are known for your ability to build relationships based on trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels.  You are self-aware and demonstrate integrity and ethical behaviour in all interactions.
  • Leader: you are known for providing leadership in a wide range of situations. You meet complex challenges and provide strong leadership throughout. You communicate clearly to influence and inspire.
  • Down to Earth: You work well in a team. You are candid and open about your view, and if the decision doesn’t go your way, you’ll be able to move on and work with the team’s decision.
