Description
Our client is a Palmerston North based family business who started as a general canvas manufacturer selling to transport companies but has now increased to focus on commercial, house markets, side curtains, tarpaulins, shade sails, patio blinds and more. They now are the lower North Islands leading manufacturer of transport textile products including side curtains, tarpaulins, roll over covers, and thermal barriers.
The role:
For this role, you will be responsible for Air Welding fabric using a hot air welding system and clear coat spraying the curtains. Some digital printing tasks of the curtains will be required, and you will be fully trained for all tasks you are responsible of.
Responsibilities:
- Air Welding fabric products to the market standard without defects.
- Clear coat spaying to finish products.
- Various printing tasks using digital printers.
- Repairing canvas rips and tears to a high standard
- Complete tasks in set time frames to meet customer requirements.
- Keeping workspace in a clean and tidy manner.
- Recording materials and time spent on jobs via ERP or paper systems.
- Assisting with other production tasks as required of you.
Skills and Attributes:
- Physically fit.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Experience with tools would be an advantage but not necessary.
- Can do attitude and willingness to learn.
- No experience required.
- Full training provided.

Days and Hours:
Monday – Friday 6:30am-4pm
There is no weekend work required however some flexibility around hours is a must.
