Description
This business is a significant player in the construction of New Zealand Infrastructure with a great reputation in the market. Due to a resignation, they are now looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their wider finance team reporting into the Financial Controller. This role will work alongside the Financial Controller to provide timely and accurate information, assistance, and compliance requirements with a range of internal & external stakeholders.
This is a significant position where they are specifically looking for great leadership qualities and drive on top of financial accounting capability.
Day to day will include:
- Monthly and Weekly Accounting
- Fixed Asset Register
- Maintaining Leases and IFRS16 Compliance
- Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Tax & Compliance
- Audit Assistance where required
- Other finance adhoc tasks and projects as well as provide back up for AR & AP when required
You will have ideally:
- Your CA qualification post 3 years of experience in a similar role
- 5 years + accounting experience
- Experience working with Auditors
- NZ Tax knowledge and application
- Experience with IFRS16 Requirements
- SAP experience
- Commercial and business awareness
- Strong eye for detail and good time management skills
- Relationship building skills, resilience and be a team player
