The Opportunity

The Emergency Department at Palmerston North Hospital, MidCentral is looking for dedicated, compassionate people who are passionate about making a difference.

These are permanent roles and there are a variety of hours available, working rostered, rotating shifts.

The role of the HCA is to assist Regulated Clinical Health Professionals in providing care that is safe, economical, and of the highest quality possible, to maintain a high standard of environmental cleanliness, and to assist with non-nursing duties associated with patient care.

If you can work with a wide range of people, have a strongly developed customer focus, are highly organized, and present professionally, then come and join our friendly, dynamic team.

You don't need to have any qualifications, and full training will be provided for successful applicant/s.

The salary will be within the range from Step 1 ($60,100) to Step 5 ($70,358) as per the “Health Care Assistants Salary Scale”.

Hours - Rostered and rotating. Typically, 0700 - 1530hrs, 1445 - 2315 hrs (includes a 30 minute unpaid break).
