Ko te kaupapa | About the role

 

We are seeking a motivated Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in Emergency Department. The successful applicant will be required to work rostered, rotating shifts, we have a variety of permanent FTE available.

The duties include but are not limited to performing delegated patient care, maintenance of equipment, housekeeping and restocking supplies.

The ideal candidate we are looking for possesses the following qualities:

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong customer focus and initiative
  • team player and can work effectively with nursing staff and MDT to provide quality patient care
  • excellent time management skills and able to multitask
  • ability to work independently
  • You must hold the rights to work in NZ

A minimum qualification of ACE level 2 or equivalent is required.  Internal training and orientation is offered and further professional development is encouraged.
