An opportunity has become available for a flexible, dynamic and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our Ward 7 North team at Wellington Regional Hospital. Ward 7 North is a 38 bed General Surgical, Vascular and ENT ward with strong links to Operating Theatres, IRW and other Hospital services. We have a strong focus on teamwork and a commitment to sustain and maintain excellent standards of nursing care.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Ward 7 North provides inpatient care to post-surgical patients following a wide range of surgical interventions. All of the patients admitted into this area benefit from a model of care that focuses on reducing hospital harm and optimising patient outcomes.
Health Care Assistants play an important role in patients cares within ward 7 North at Wellington Regional Hospital. As the successful applicant you - ll have the ability to communicate effectively and prioritise tasks appropriately under the delegation of a Registered Nurse. The HCA contributes to the successful operation of the nursing team.
You - ll assist the nursing staff and patients with activities of daily living. You will be tasked with the restocking of clinical supplies and maintaining a clean environment. You will also be tasked with patient observation and engagement. If you - re an energetic and motivated person with good communication skills and have NZQA Level 3 in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent), we want to hear from you.
