Heavy Diesel CAT Mechanic

Lowie has an opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel CAT Mechanic to join our client at their South Auckland workshop.

If you're a self-starter with a can do attitude keen to work on large motor yachts, this full-time permanent role is a great fit. Perfect for a passionate and versatile professional that takes pride in their workmanship.

What we offer:

• $30 - $40 an hour, paid weekly
• 50 - 60 hours per week (Monday - Saturday, 7am - 6pm)

Some duties you may be required to do:

• Carry out maintenance and repair on large, diesel-powered vehicles and machinery
• Work with earthmoving field machines such as CAT excavators, bulldozers, compactors and marine engines
• Diagnosing mechanical issues
• Replacing parts
• Routine servicing and maintaining service records

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Experience working for a CAT dealership and an earthmoving company
• CAT certified training / apprenticeship
• Knowledge on CAT diesel mechanics, hydraulics, field service and heavy machinery
• Experience with fault finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and rebuilds
• Health and Safety knowledge and safe working practices
• Have reliable transport
