We have exciting opportunities for Relief House Officers to join the team at Whangārei Hospital in 2024. We have vacancies commencing immediately and throughout the year in Quarter 2 (April); Quarter 3 (July) and Quarter 4 (October).

As a Relief House Officer you could provide cover across departments including General Surgery and General Medicine or more specific specialties such as Urology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.

Suitable candidates must have the following:

  • A minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience in the New Zealand health sector or a comparable health system.
  • The ability to work in New Zealand.
  • Medical Council of New Zealand registration or the ability to apply.
