Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Description
Our client is a well-established leading contractor, that are looking for a driven Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Palmerston.
A background working for a Construction firm is preferred and any experience as a construction QS will be beneficial. The position is paying a salary in the region of NZ$100-110k plus benefits.
You will be working on Commercial and Residential builds.
The successful candidate will have pre and post contract experience, from tendering to claims. Chartered QS status (RICS or NZIQS) is a bonus and large scale commercial development experience is essential.
As Intermediate QS you’ll support the senior QS’s and run projects on your own. You’ll be involved in:
- providing cost consultancy services to clients in the Auckland region
- estimating
- cost planning
- risk management
- measuring
- post-contract administration.
We are looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- LBP/Carpentry Qualification
- 3+ years as QS for construcction in NZ
- Commercial project experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound cost planning expertise
- ability to provide value engineering through to risk management advice.
