Where you’ll be working: Thames Hospital Food Service

The details: Permanent Part Time 30 hours per week (currently worked as 3 x 8 hours + 2 x 3 hour duties)

Salary details: Collective Employment Contract – Etu Meca – Step 1 $23.75p.h. – Step 4 $28.18 per hour

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We are looking for an applicant to join our 7-day a week dietary service, who has excellent customer service skills and can work all rostered duties; including weekends and public holidays. As advised position is for 30 hours per week.

Duties will include food preparation, meal service and general kitchen duties. Food Safety & Hygiene, relationships and service.

Mōu | About you

You must have:

Excellent physical fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands - including frequent standing, lifting, in a humid and busy environment.

  • Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner
  • Ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members
  • Reliability with an excellent attendance record
  • A current NZ driver’s licence.

An understanding of hospital kitchen functions, and previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage.

Thames Food Service provides around 60 meals 3 x per day to inpatient unit and Emergency Department & Birthing Unit, Sperry Lane Café is open Monday – Friday for staff/public to access for meals plus we do around 30 meals per day for meals on wheels recipients.
