Maintenance Engineer

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Maintenance Engineer.

The role is responsible for:

To attend to all breakdowns in a timely manner

To liaise with the Finishing Manager to ensure all machinery is maintained to operate efficiently to meet production demands and minimize breakdowns.

Recommendation and modifications for better running and optimal performance.

Ensure that all long-term repairs are tagged for further work. If this requires extensive down time additional resources are to be sought. The recording of maintenance issues must be accurate and to standard procedures. Primary preventative maintenance (PM) sheets to be used and stores used recorded.

Liaise with Team Leaders, Maintenance Team Leader and Production Supervisors on prioritising work.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (preferably 5 years plus) in technical or trades role.

Background in engineering or mechanical trades.

TASK – MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT

Incorporate safe working practices to protect all people in the work area.

Maintenance of priority machines including replacements parts.

Work to deliver a preventative maintenance program for all items of plant in the area.

Be proactive with H & S along with quality production in all aspects of the delivery of this role.
