Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our clients team in their brand new facility opening soon in Hamilton. The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs, as well as other assigned duties, in a timely and safe manner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently within a manufacturing environment. This role requires flexibility in working hours/days, as overtime and weekend work may be necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery as assigned.
  • Record data and information accurately, ensuring all documentation is completed in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure maintenance repair times are completed on time and in line with the production schedule.
  • Complete maintenance repairs in accordance with work orders and equipment manuals.
  • Inspect, analyze, and record critical mechanical information.
  • Ability to sketch and accurately measure mechanical components.

Qualifications:

  • Maintenance fitter trade qualification or equivalent trade qualification with manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
