Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.
We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.
The Manager, System Performance will work closely across commissioning teams as an initial point of contact for their planning and performance analytical needs while ensuring analysts can tap into other teams to provide additional and specialist analytical resource when required. The team will provide a range of reports and tools for the commissioning team to enable robust planning and performance analysis, with a strong pro-equity focus.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā weako | Skills and experience
- Experience providing people leadership function for staff, including managing the workload and prioritisation of staff's work.
- Significant experience in the provision of diagnostic analytics that measure equity of access and outcomes to address unwarranted variation and assessing pro-equity performance providing a system-wide view of equity issues.
- Experience in geo-spatial modelling, with some understanding of econometric analysis.
- Experience in the work of commissioning design teams and skilled in contributing advice and expertise within the life course area of the group/team.
- Experience developing and implementing effective strategies and work plans that deliver on team objectives.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples groups.
