Right now, we - re seeking applications for Midwifery students interested in casual work with the maternity team at Timaru hospital.  As a Maternity Care Assistant, you will assist with providing care and support to woman, babies and whanau under the direction and supervision of nursing staff, in addition to other - housekeeping - tasks.

If you have relevant experience and or the following attributes we would like to hear from you:

• Ability to assist people with major health needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work within a team and seek assistance when needed
• Cultural sensitivity 
• Maintains confidentiality
• Adaptable & friendly
• Ability to work - morning, afternoon, nights or part shifts if required
• Committed to quality care and service delivery
