About the company:

Work for this diverse Tier 1 civil contractor. Its projects are broad and multi-faceted they include roads and bridges, stormwater drainage, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as piling, wharf construction, precast concrete elements, the construction of sub-divisions, and landscaping. This tier one contractor has a supportive and respectful management and senior leadership team, with the lowest number of turn over of all the tier ones ... this is not an opportunity to miss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee mechanical, electrical and pipework construction activities on this major infrastructure project including the co-ordination of subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment.
  • Manage the programming, construction methodologies and financial performance of the project
  • Accountable for compliance with legislation, regulations and standards while ensuring plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions
  • Produce and present performance reports to Executive team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience managing the Mechanical, Electrical & Piping aspects of large construction projects.
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability for individual and team performance.
  • Strong motivation to set and attain high performance standards.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English for effective communication and job execution.
  • Competency in various computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet usage.
  • Valid driver's license
