Bay of Islands Hospital (1.0FTE permanent, full time)
The Bay of Islands Hospital, situated in Kawakawa, provides health care services for the wider Mid-North region of Northland. The BOI hospital has a busy A&E department, a 22 bed general ward, a maternity unit, a renal dialysis department and several outpatient clinics. The hospital is undergoing redevelopment to expand our services in order to keep up with the population growth in our region.
Laboratory services in Northland provides both hospital and some community testing with a focus on the best outcome for our patients. There are 4 laboratories operating under one service, with the main laboratory at Whangarei Hospital supporting the 3 smaller regional hospital laboratories in Bay of Islands, Kaitaia and Dargaville.
Recent growth leaves us looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our existing team at the Bay of Islands Hospital Laboratory.
The position is a multidisciplinary role including Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood bank and limited Microbiology.
