Our
Adult Mental Health team provides comprehensive assessment and treatment to
individuals presenting in distress attended
by moderate to severe mental illness and associated psychosocial issues.
You will be joining our dynamic Multidisciplinary Acute Team working in partnership with colleagues to provide brief, focused interventions that are specifically directed to assist clients in acute distress progress towards recovery.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience directly providing specialist treatment to persons presenting with mental illness and distress as well as supporting and enhancing the work of clinical colleagues.

We are looking for a Registered Health Professional with post-registration experience in a mental health setting and up-to-date knowledge and experience in the application of brief psychological interventions.
You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines. You will engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients, their family, whanau and wider support networks.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
