Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

This role is responsible for managing the national payroll operations for entities who are currently using the Ceridian PSe system.

Giving effect to the strategic health outcomes of Te Whatu Ora by providing leadership to build sustainability, resilience and meaningful culturally safe connections, capabilities, assets, and services with the good of the New Zealand Public Health System in mind, now and for the future.  

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Experience (in the range of 10 years) in payroll roles, including at least 5 years in people leadership roles in a large organisation with the experience needed to run a team of 250+ staff serving Te Whatu Ora staff and management with Payroll queries.
  • Extensive experience in HRIS/Payroll systems including rostering and time and attendance and award interpreters. 
  • Sound understanding of SQL databases and their relationship to payroll systems.
  • Has undertaken a payroll transformation in a previous role or successfully undertaken a large payroll implementation.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives.
