Description

This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work across the entire IT services sales and delivery cycle, from business-as-usual support to project delivery and consulting engagements. You'll have the chance to showcase your expertise in configuring and installing various network devices and services, while also contributing to paid security and networking consulting projects for their valued customers.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, and wireless networks
  • Deliver paid security and networking consulting engagements, assisting customers with technology decisions, audits, and budgeting
  • Identify and mitigate risks, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to developing technical direction roadmaps
  • Build and maintain productive customer relationships, delivering exceptional service
  • Complete after-hours project work, change activities, incident resolution, and on-call escalation
  • Resolve network and system incident escalations, service requests, and change fulfillment
  • Provide knowledge of customers' environments and processes during project planning and support other engineers
  • Ensure documentation, knowledge articles, risk management, and service improvement initiatives are up-to-date
  • Manage workload and tickets to ensure SLA targets are met
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary or equivalent level of further education in a relevant field, ideally CCNA/NSE4+
  • 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure design, server support, administration, and operational excellence in a small to medium business environment
  • Knowledge of networking and its integration with on-premises and cloud-based products across multiple platforms
  • Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet, Azure networking, Azure Security Services, AD, DNS, DHCP, Windows server, and desktops
  • Analytical thinking, scheduling and resource management, communication, innovative thinking, and delivery focus
  • Excellent customer service skills, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new technologies quickly
