The remuneration range for this role is $52,260 - $65,981 and is covered by the collective agreement: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical

Position Description | New-born Hearing Screener

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti to join the small and dedicated Audiology team as a Newborn Hearing Screener.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, enthusiastic team player with a genuine desire to provide the highest standard of care, along with proven organisational skills and attention to detail. Essential attributes include strong oral and written communication skills, sound knowledge of all Windows-based applications, along with proven knowledge of the Privacy Act, and the Health Information Privacy Code, an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural awareness.

The ability to work effectively under pressure, to take initiative, and a commitment to time management will be highly regarded. Training, including enrolment in and support with the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 – Newborn Hearing Screening), will be provided.

Availability to work additional hours to cover periods of leave would be advantageous.

Experience in being around mothers and babies is important.
