Korero mō te tūranga | About the role

The Occupational Therapy Service at Hawkes Bay Hospital has an opening on the popular and sought-after rotational programme.  Rotational positions offer a range of clinical practice experience including in the areas of orthopaedics, surgery, neurology, cardiology, medical and rehabilitation.  The position is well supported by experienced Occupational Therapists across the clinical spectrum, as well as the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead.


Mō tō mātou rōpū | About our team

You will join a diverse team of acute and subacute Occupational Therapists, and be part of the supportive Allied Health inpatient team.  We value Continued Professional Development, mentoring, supervision and on-going training.  You will have access to regular in-service training, special interest working groups, and learning opportunities to develop your clinical, cultural, quality improvement, and leadership skills.  The Occupational Therapy Professional Lead will also support your growth and promotes the Occupational Therapy service throughout our hospital.


Moū | About you

To be considered you will need:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
  • New Zealand Registration with current annual practising certificate (APC) or ability to gain this in a timely way.
  • Suitable for new graduates or those in their first year of practice.

Salary Range for this position is - $70,842 in accordance with Public, Allied and Technical Health Employee’s Multi Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) Step 1 according to qualifications and relevant experience pro-rated for hours worked.
