Right now, we have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Whangarei Hospital. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across all services and utilise professional knowledge and skills to provide a quality service to the designated inpatients and outpatients attending Whangarei Hospital.
This is for a fixed term, part time position working 16 hours per week. Hours of work will be between 8am and 5pm. Days of the week are flexible but ideally will include Friday. There is a shared On Call roster to cover weekends and public holidays (working one day every 6-8 weeks approx.).

Opportunities are available to rotate throughout the hospital every 6-12 months, including Medical and Surgical based departments, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Stroke and Rehabilitation Services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hold a current practicing certificate and registration in NZ as an Occupational Therapist
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary team
- Aware of Occupational Therapy theory and principles of practice
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships between staff and clients
