We have an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Auckland CBD office. After 15 wonderful years, our dedicated Payroll Team Leader is retiring. We are looking for a Payroll & Accounts Administrator to support our finance team in providing efficient and effective payroll and accounting services. You will join a team of experienced finance professionals who work with and support our branches located in Auckland South, Wellington, Christchurch, Auckland CBD, and Invercargill.

The Role:
Each week we have several tasks that are deadline-driven, including payroll, invoicing, reporting, and general financial administration. Each day will commit a specific focus in terms of the payroll cycle and tasks that need to be completed. You will be supporting a team of recruitment professionals, specifically our Christchurch team, ensuring that quality service is provided in everything you do.

The position is 22-26 hrs per week, working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It is also office based. Our spacious office is in the Southern Cross Building, Auckland CBD. The office is central, saturated with natural light, and offers a large balcony for you to enjoy the fresh air. Flexible work options are available after onboarding and training is completed. An immediate start is preferred to ensure a smooth and seamless handover.

About You:
You will have a solid background in Payroll and Accounts (Pay Hero/Invoxy/Xero), and will have a foundation of payroll processes, relevant payroll legislation, Adobe editing, and MS Office (especially Excel). Communication is imperative to the role and teams, both written and verbal. Your attention to detail and quick problem solving skills will be your driving initiative to get things done on time. You are an analytic thinker and someone who is known meeting deadlines. Finally, you will have worked in support roles in busy environments and enjoy being part of a committed and passionate team. It is equally important that you are comfortable working independently and managing your own time.
