People & Safety Business Partner

We are seeking a motivated HR Senior Advisor/ BP to step into a People and Safety Business Partner position. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of People, Culture, and Safety, providing essential support from a generalist perspective to key stakeholders. Our client is a values-driven organisation focused on sustainability, collaboration, and wellness.

What you will do:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Distribution Centre and Sales Teams, supporting the full HR remit including ER, Engagement, Employee experience, and Cyclical Activities. You will also play a crucial role in promoting Health and Safety initiatives by leading reporting, attending meetings, and fostering a culture of safety within the organisation. You will also be happy to roll up your sleeves to be hands-on when needed, such as when handling administrative tasks, managing the HSW System, and planning various types of engagement events. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be a real partner to the business and lead exciting initiatives in the employee Health and Wellbeing space.

What you will bring:

• At least three years’ experience working in an HR Generalist/Advisory position.
• Demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand Employment Legislation and cyclical activities such as Performance and Salary reviews.
• A deep passion for fostering a culture of safety and making a positive impact.
• Ability to uphold standards and values while maintaining a caring and open demeanour.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the confidence to hold others accountable to drive positive change.
• Proactive mindset with the resilience to work autonomously and tackle challenges head-on.
• Interest in continuous learning and growth, with a willingness to adapt and seamlessly integrate into our team culture.
