This is a challenging role leading the Charge of all things HR for your portfolio and your team. Both a strategic and operational role, project work.

Human Resources Business Partner  

A key member of the NZ HR team responsible for partnering with leaders and key stakeholders to support the implementation of people initiatives that support the achievement of business objectives. Provide proactive, commercially driven HR support and guidance to the business. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of the administration of all people practices ensuring seamless services are provided to the employees of the business.

About the Role:   

  • Provide end to end HR advice, support and coaching to your stakeholders
  • Drive People programmes and projects
  • Leading a small team
  • Interpret HR policy, procedure and legislation requiring and dealing with complex issues
  • ER
  • Driving Change and Transformation
  • Supporting the implementation of HRIS Workday
  • Based in Mount Wellington 
  • There will be planned and reactive travel required across NZ to the branch network as and when required
  • Role reports to Head of HR and works closely with the GM
  • Managing a portfolio of 600 FTE
Working closely with:

Executive team, Portfolio GMs and Leaders, Employees, People Experience & Payroll teams, Shared Services teams – Digital, Finance, Marketing, Property, Health & Safety  

About you:

You have previously worked in a similar role where you are considered a trusted advisor to the SLT and your key stakeholders in terms of supporting with all things HR, you are commercially astute and a hands on HR people person who is happy to be very visible “on the floor” and work closely with your people.

Your previous experience spans the below:
  • 7+ years’ experience as a HR practitioner
  • Strategic HR business partnering to a similar size portfolio of 600 FTE
  • Implementation of best practice HR solutions
  • Coaching leaders
  • Organisation design and change management / transformation
  • Employee relations Performance, pay & reward, talent acquisition
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation and HR systems
  • Experience in using co-design and/or human centred design methodology in the design and implementation of people initiatives.
  • Certification in Korn Ferry remuneration methodology (ideal)
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (preferred)
