Where you’ll be working: Waikato Hospital

The details: Permanent Full time – 40 hours per week

Salary details: $63,702 to $90,534 p.a. raising to $76,442 to $109,000 p.a. under Pay Equity Translation

This role falls under the Allied Health, Scientific & Technical workforce pay equity settlement, and an increase in designated scales will follow shortly.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Experience all that hospital pharmacy has to offer in a rotational position. You will gain exposure to all functions of hospital pharmacy, familiarising yourself with our various services. You’ll be supported to thrive through our many unique development opportunities - setting you up to specialise in future.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Dispensary & supply operations

  • Support of the on-site community pharmacy

  • Clinical ward + clinic work

  • Oncology, haematology & compounding services

  • Involvement in quality & safe use of medicines work + initiatives

Mōu | About you

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • Annual Practising Certificate + Registration with the Pharmacy Council of NZ is essential

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience as a pharmacist, however new graduates also welcome to apply

  • Current NZ driver’s licence
