Delivery Transformation Group  

Delivery Transformation is a new business group established to support and enable other business groups at Kāinga Ora to transform their delivery functions. Delivery Transformation captures the expertise and momentum of Project Velocity and positions the group for cross organisational initiatives, providing the right capacity and capability to drive transformation work in a standardised and planned way across Kāinga Ora. 

We are seeking forward thinking and agile people to join the Maintenance & Asset System Creation on a secondment or fixed term contract basis for up to 18 months. This could be a great development opportunity to be part of shaping the future. This is an exciting work environment, relying on people being co-located together to enhance communication, teamwork and decision making. This means team members are physically located in the office, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm. 

 

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

The Project Administrator works as part of a System Creation team established to redesign new systems, to produce consistent, reproducible, and scheduled results. The role provides administrative support and coordination to support the smooth running of the team.

The Project Administrator is responsible for coordinating and processing information in the Kāinga Ora operational and project management systems and ensuring the efficient flow of administrative workflows throughout the System Creation and wider Delivery Transformation team. The position ensures that team and project information is accurate, robust and up to date so reporting can be completed accurately, and suppliers get paid on time. The position is responsible for delivering professional, high-volume, high-quality support services in the System Creation team.

 

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Experience working with project management and reporting software systems, for example, Oracle, Ara and Excel.
  • Experience in providing business support services to a diverse group of people with many non-routine requirements who may have conflicting high pressure demands.
  • The ability to handle large volumes of information.  Demonstrated ability to prioritise demands, organise, meet deadlines and deliver desired results by taking ownership and using effective self and time management approaches.
  • Ability to solve complex problems by investigating, collaborating and determining solutions.
  • Exposure to the project environment and project management best practices.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with all levels including leadership, colleagues and multiple internal and external stakeholders. Builds networks and relationships both internally and externally.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing new systems and process improvements.
  • Has effective communication skills and ability to communicate within the team environment representing success for the team from their point of view.
