At Ara Poutama Aotearoa, the Priorities and Projects team is at the forefront of introducing new and exciting services across a variety of projects and programmes. We are a dynamic team who work with multi-disciplinary project teams to design operational services and deliver outcomes for Ara Poutama Aotearoa, people serving sentences, and the wider community.

 

Mō te tūnga | About the role

We're looking for a proactive and task focused operator to join our team and work collaboratively alongside Project Managers and project teams to coordinate project development and delivery across Ara Poutama's diverse work programme.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering timely preparation and maintenance of project plans and schedules; coordination of project and governance meetings; monitoring and reporting on progress of activities; risk register management; and ensuring regular and open communication with frontline staff and managers involved in the implementation of new operational practices, systems and initiatives.

You will be an experienced project coordinator with:

  • strong prioritisation skills – you thrive when given responsibility to plan, organise and deliver tasks to set deadlines, and you quickly establish and maintain practical systems to manage your workload effectively
  • natural collaboration abilities, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with peers and stakeholders at different levels
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take accurate minutes as well as collate, summarise, and present information in a variety of formats to suit your audience
  • strong attention to detail, in both the work you produce and with monitoring progress, actions and upcoming due dates
  • cultural competence, specifically sound knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Ao Māori.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The midpoint of the salary range is $73,673 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $62,623 - $88,408 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
