Description

About the Role

As an independent, client-side project manager you will be managing projects on behalf of public & private Principals, providing expert advice and consulting services to project development teams & other stakeholders.

Everything from front-end planning and design management through to contract administration and more. Your project workload will be a mix of public and private developments – commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, residential… and more!

You will engage multi-disciplinary project teams and lead them throughout design & delivery, managing and reporting on quality, schedule, and budget, and ensuring your projects are kept on track.

Growth

While this is certainly not an entry-level role, this firm places a huge emphasis on actively facilitating the continual development of their staff – at all levels!

As a project manager, you need to be able to work independently & proactively, but you will have the full support & mentorship of a senior PM & the wider leadership team.

About You

You’ll be an experienced APM or PM with a background ideally across consultancy or client organisations. You will have had exposure to a range of base-build construction projects, with the ability to take the lead on multi-million-dollar construction packages.

  • Ability to engage & lead multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Sound understanding of construction/engineering project management
  • Working knowledge of NZ construction contracts, especially NZS3910
  • MS Project, P6, Deltek or similar software skills
  • A tertiary qualification – construction, engineering, or similar.

About the Company

This NZ-born business has established themselves in the NZ project management & advisory sector as one of the sharpest & highest performing teams available.

They have enjoyed some incredible growth over the last few years, off the back of their fantastic client relationships, their delivery of complicated projects with minimal delay and disruption – and their ability to muck in and solve problems as they arise, bringing projects back on track!

Culturally they’re one of the best, with a fantastic average tenure & very low turnover. They offer a flexible working environment, but frequently come regularly for social get-togethers and team development sessions.

What’s in it for you??

  • Competitive salary - $110,000 - $130,000
  • 4% KiwiSaver
  • Five weeks annual leave
  • Multiple wellness and flexibility benefits
  • Career development & growth opportunities
  • Phone & laptop
  • Professional memberships & development allowances
