Description

Are you passionate about fostering positive and equitable outcomes for your community? Are you an experienced Project/Contracts Manager keen to make a difference? We want to hear from you!

  • Work for a values-driven organisation making a real difference in the community.
  • Highly flexible working environment.
  • An exciting and newly created opportunity

The Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC) is a dynamic and values-driven organisation dedicated to transforming Tāmaki and empowering its communities. Located in Glen Innes, Tāmaki Regeneration’s master plan includes building healthy homes and increasing homeownership among its communities, improving infrastructure, and enhancing local culture through economic growth. TRC works closely with mana whenua, community groups, and local businesses to create a vibrant and thriving Tāmaki.

About the opportunity:

In this newly created role, the Quality Assurance Lead will play a pivotal role in driving quality assurance processes across all live development/housing projects. As part of the Development and Commercial team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and be the SME throughout the development, design, building and handover process. You will ensure all homes meet the needs of whānau and TRC quality standards across the Public and Affordable Housing portfolios.

In this role you will be involved in the full housing delivery project management process, from participating in design phase meetings, flagging any changes or potential risks and proactively identifying issues throughout each stage. As developments approach completion, this role will be the one point of contact in managing the smooth handover of homes from our build partners, and ensuring they are ready for whānau to move in. Operating behind the scenes, this individual receives information from development managers, Commercial, Construction and Design teams, and disseminates it internally, questioning, and problem-solving along the way.

You will be the go-to person for all internal stakeholders, providing clear visibility over the quality assurance processes to meet TRC’s build standards. You will work alongside project managers, and construction managers to monitor and track all quality and handover related items and proactively raise concerns regarding the impacts of these changes. As someone who is detailed orientated and flourishes in understanding the big picture and how it applies to detailed delivery processes you will also conduct thorough analysis and reporting and will leverage these insights to advise on the improvement of operational delivery to ensure programmes remain well aligned with whānau needs and TRC standards.

Who you will be:

  • You will have proven experience in Project or Contract Management, preferably in a housing or development environment. You will also have the ability to establish project management methodologies to ensure programmes are appropriately tracked and completed.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a natural ability to build strong relationships and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and a drive to own the management of the quality assurance programme delivery.
  • A self-starter and problem solver with an inquisitive mind that thinks strategically to anticipate broader impacts.
  • Someone with a commitment to Te Tiriti of Waitangi and a cultural understanding of working with different community groups and their needs.
  • An outcomes driven team player who enjoys collaboration and seeing the results of your mahi in the community.

Experience and qualifications working Project Management tools such as Prince Two is highly advantageous.

It is also crucial your values align with those of Tamaki Regeneration Company:

  • Ka Poipoi – We deeply care for and nurture each other
  • Ka Honohono tatou – We value joining and coming together
  • Ka Waihanga tahi tātou – We reflect, learn, design, and make together

On offer is a great salary and benefits package accompanied by the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team who is truly making a difference through their mahi.
