Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor at the intermediate level.
As a QS, you will be responsible for a variety of construction projects in the commercial sector, up to the value of $120 million. The salary is negotiable and dependent on experience but will be in the region of $100-130k.

Your duties will include:
· Measuring and pricing for consent and for construction
· Obtaining supplier quotes for materials
· Calculate material rates
· Contract negotiations (with clients and contractors)
· Invoice auditing - processing variations, client progress claims, subcontractor progress payments, financial tracking/reporting and supplier payments; general contracts administration, document control
· Overseeing staff when required, actively involved in the resolution of disputes between contracting parties
· Programming and quality assurances
· Preparation of construction schedule of quantities, project budgets
· Assisting health and safety officer when required including report writing
· Attending site visits, sub-contractor engagements and client liaison

About you:
· Relevant Tertiary Qualifications. Preferably BSc Quantity Surveying
· Minimum of two years within the quantity surveying environment
· Experience in construction/building/project work
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Sound commercial judgement, with ability to apply quality decisions
