Permanent 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Right now, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced registered health clinician to join our Neurological Assessment & Support Service – Te Iho Whenua. Within this role, you will work within the Pregnancy and parental multi-disciplinary team using accepted evidence-based and contemporary professional practice when working alongside whānau in the pregnancy, early parenting and infant space. 

About the Role

This role is responsible for coordinated care to meet the identified needs of referred wāhine kōpū, tane and whānau raising infants up to the age of three years and also work as part of the Te Iho Whenua service, who will provide screening for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome for the children of whānau who are referred to the Pregnancy and Parental Service.

You will provide whānau presenting to the Pregnancy and Parental Service with integrated, culturally safe assessment and intervention, taking account of psychosocial issues relevant to the development and wellbeing of parents and infants within the context of their whānau.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week, based in Whangarei.

To be successful in this role you will hold a New Zealand health Practitioner Qualification or DAPAANZ registration; a current practicing certificate and a current New Zealand full driver's licence.
