High Dependency & Acute Assessment Unit Wairau Hospital, Blenheim

Casual position working on an as required basis covering staff leave and assisting at times of peak capacity. Flexibility to work across all shifts is preferred.

  • Do you have at least two years of post-registration acute care nursing experience?
  • Many outdoor activities including adventure biking / hiking and walking tracks.
  • Close proximity to the Marlborough Sounds and Picton.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in NZ at the time of applying.

Our busy and well-equipped HDU/AAU is closely co-located with our Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital. We provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service. 

There are no fixed hours associated with casual employment. However, the more available you are, the more shifts you - ll be offered.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and will have at least two years of post-registration critical care nursing experience. 

You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of a rapidly changing environment and will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
