We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

This role will support patients to continue their rehabilitation within the comfort of their own homes. Working in part of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Rehab Assistants.

You will monitor their recovery ensuring that every individual receives appropriate rehabilitation and packages of care at the right time to optimise their functional ability to maintain their independence in their own home.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • New Zealand Nursing Council registration and have a current APC
  • a scope of practice that allows you to work in Mental Health or Intellectual Disabilities (more information can be found at http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/Nurses/Scopes-of-practice)
  • current eligibility (citizenship, residency or work visa) to live and work in New Zealand
  • the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • excellent communication skills to liaise with health professionals, both within the in-patient services and in the community setting.

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($79,304p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($103,630) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
