Salary band - $81,600 - $106,700 p.a. pro-rata + Kiwisaver + car park

  • Fixed-term position to 27 January 2025
  • (0.8 FTE - 32 hours per week)

We are looking for an experienced recovery nurse with a 'can do', positive attitude to join our Perioperative Service in our Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit based in Southland Hospital. Mō te tūranga - About the role

Our service presents a busy environment, one that we navigate on a daily basis through a team-based model of care, so it is essential you have a kind nature and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations. Recent Perioperative nursing experience and sound clinical skills are essential, and recent, relevant PACU experience is critical in ensuring the patient journey is a smooth one. Given the wide geographical area the hospital covers, there will be many opportunities for variety in your work which lends itself to both your professional and personal development

While this role is primarily based in Recovery, you should apply with understanding that you may be required to assist elsewhere in Perioperative as and when needed to ensure smooth running of our service.

You will also be required to work an on-call roster.

This is a fixed-term position to cover a period of parental leave by the incumbent.

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($81,683 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a. pro-rata) Registered Nurses Salary Scale
