Location:  Wellington Regional Hospital

Service:    Te Pae Tiaki ǀ Emergency Department

Contract:  Permanent - Full and Part-Time positions available

Salary:      As per NZNO MECA - based on experience

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Registered Nurse, we offer you the opportunity to join our highly motivated and professional team in Te Pae Tiaki | Emergency Department at Wellington Regional Hospital, where we can ensure that there is never a dull day! This is not routine nursing. It is a fast turn-around, quick decision-making environment, covering all adult and paediatric specialities, for instance General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, etc. We have an amazing team environment where new skills are learnt on a daily basis.

We are a level 6 Emergency Service committed to providing acute and emergent care to patients and their families/whanau within a multidisciplinary team. We aim to deliver high quality and safe care at all times.

Mōu -  About You 

  • Current Annual Practising Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • A New Zealand Citizen or Resident (or current AEWV holder)
  • Prior experience in an acute nursing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive, enthusiastic and proactive manners that instils confidence in patients and colleagues
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential
