Waitematā District is the largest District in New Zealand serving a population of approximately 630,000 people living in the North and West of Auckland, and Rodney.

The Haematology Service has an established dynamic and growing haematology department based at North Shore Hospital. Clinical areas include malignant haematology, a large acute thrombosis service as well as general haematology. It has an active research department with studies in both malignant haematology and thrombosis.

We are currently recruiting for a Research Nurse – Haematology Service.

This role is based within the Haematology Research Unit with responsibility for coordinating clinical trials and collaborating with the Haematology Day Stay Unit for the care of research patients.

The successful candidate should have a reputation for positive and dynamic approach to research and learning, development of resources and monitoring of practice to provide safe and effective nursing care. We are also looking for the following:

  • Registered Nurse [RGON, RCpN] with current Annual Practising Certificate in New Zealand.
  • Have a current portfolio as part of PDRP
  • Post graduate Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in tertiary health sector with Nursing Haematology background
  • Background in clinical trials research
