Our client is a company that manufactures and distributes timber and building products in New Zealand and Australia. 
  
At present, we are looking for a qualified, skilled, and experienced Saw Doctor–Softwood to maintain and optimize the performance of sawmill equipment, ensuring efficient and precise cutting of softwood products, specializing in softwood (Pinus radiata). 
  
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: 

• Sharpen & Set Saw Blades To Optimize Cutting Performance. 
• Perform Regular Maintenance On Sawmill Equipment To Prevent Unnecessary Breakdowns. 
• Collaborate With The Production Team To Ensure The Timely & Accurate Processing Of Timber Products. 
• Adhere Strictly To All Health & Safety Criteria. 

The successful candidate must have a trade qualification and pass a pre-employment drug test or MOJ if required. Prior experience as a qualified Saw Doctor in a Sawmill or similar role with knowledge of sawmill machinery, equipment, and tools is an advantage. Open to NZ Citizens / Residents or hold a valid open work visa.
