About the role:
As the Senior Accountant, you will be directly accountable to the Managing Directors and external accountants of the company. Your role will involve performing a wide range of accountancy tasks while adhering to strict guidelines and procedures in accordance with company policies. For this position, a high level of accuracy is essential. Your responsibilities will include managing Xero and Lentune on a daily basis, keeping track of loan balances and interest calculations, and overseeing the creditors and accounts payable functions. Additionally, you will be expected to perform administration and other general duties, including completing month-end tasks and reports.
What’s required:
We are looking for someone with a mature and calm personality, who can work well under pressure and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn and take on more responsibilities. Attention to detail is a must-have skill. Experience in development companies or institutional finance companies could be an advantage. Additionally, management accounting experience in a sizable business is necessary. The candidate must have experience with Xero. Knowledge of Google Sheets is a plus and familiarity with Power BI would be great. The person must be CA Qualified and ideally have 1-2 years of commercial experience. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required. The role has the potential to grow into a finance manager/CFO for the right candidate.
