Our Sector Digital Channels team are working to expand and improve the digital health landscape in Aotearoa. We are the digital transformation partners enabling modern technology solutions that improve the people and whānau experience through equitable access to varying models of care.

We are the change agent for national programmes and work with our customers and partners to enable equitable access through both digital self-service and assisted channels and to reduce pressure on the workforce through automation and integration.  We are product focused and leverage modern platforms, technologies and ways of working to deliver quality, sustainable and cost-effective products and services.

We take pride in leading change that will provide equitable digital solutions for the health of Aotearoa.

 

This is a fixed-term role till 30 June 2025. You will be working on PHOIT - the Public Health Operations Information System. It will pay between $85,363 and $128,045 with a midpoint of $106,704.

 

Mōu | About you

Our Business Analysis team is responsible for maintaining and developing technology services. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be ensuring people, processes, and technology are fit for purpose and easily attainable. You will ensure Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora's strategy and objectives are upheld. 

Beyond business analysis, you'll also have the opportunity to build skills within our organization, coaching team members to reach new heights.

Our team is an integral part of our 24/7 Services organisation, spread across New Zealand communities. Our tech landscape is always bustling, serving numerous users and supporting mission-critical applications, from computing and networking to telecommunications and cloud-based services. It's a dynamic and exciting environment, and together with teamwork and collaboration, we're ready to take on any challenge that comes our way.


Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • A relevant graduate and/or post-graduate qualification. 
  • Experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Strong project management skills such as managing costs, resources and workflows in a required task.
  • Strong analytical skills required to investigate business processes and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Knowledge of SQL.  
  • Ability to perform cost benefit analyses. 
  • Proven relationship building skills and well-developed communication skills. 
  • Ability to apply technical strategies, policies, standards and practices effectively. 
  • Demonstrated intuition and the ability to balance good process with the need to make clear decisions in demanding situations such as. priority service outages.   
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities while remaining resilient under pressure. 
  • Experience working in the health sector or other Government body is desirable.
