About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the purpose of this role is to support the completion of Group financial statements and regular reporting with a strong focus on forecasts for the different programmes and making recommendations for appropriate investments.

Assisting the team with compliance processes and overseeing financial accounting activities, the role will ensure that sound accounting advice and support is provided to the broader team. As the business is growing, this role will also provide support with other finance related projects.
   
Key areas of responsibility:
  • Forecasting: Manage comprehensive forecasting tasks to ensure financial stability and foresight. Review fair value outputs from the valuation models for investments/financial instruments. Assist in completing 5-year forecast. 
  • Settlements: Oversee day-to-day settlements activity, processing of incoming/outgoing settlements, also oversee cash management and forecasting. Preparation of quarterly and semi-annual reports under the IFFFAAA for IFF projects.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Assist in preparing annual reports, manage monthly accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Up to management reporting, the role assists the Financial Controller with the preparation of Board papers and responding to adhoc finance queries for key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide leadership to junior staff and offer strategic support in all aspects of commercial operations and financial transactions, the settlement process including the interest rates swaps, loan drawdown and disbursements.

About you:
  • You will have 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, preferably in Banking or the Financial Services sector.
  • You can work autonomously and demonstrate resilience.
  • You are comfortable working under tight deadlines and with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • You are proficient in MYOB or similar accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • You enjoy the opportunity to work with new technologies and aspire to ongoing learning and helping others to develop too.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
