Te Haeata/The Opportunity
- Support our team with the planning, design, and implementation of projects within the Te Puna Aonui work programme
- Support the implementation of a programme management approach across our business by developing tools and processes.
- Provide trusted advice, insight, and support to the Programme Manager on any risks, opportunities and/or concerns emerging from the programme to ensure these are proactively managed
- Work as part of a wider coordination team to support the planning and organisation in a changing and developing environment, across the Te Puna Aonui Business Unit and wider IEB as required.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
Education / professional qualifications and technical skills
- A relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- PRINCE2®/MSP®/Agile or equivalent certification highly desirable.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio).
- Ability to successfully organise work, prioritise, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of people.
Work experience
- Understanding of project methodology and terminology.
- Experience as a project coordinator in a formal project environment, supporting projects with multiple workstreams and competing pressures.
- Experience coordinating projects within the public sector and involving external relationships such as contracted parties or grant recipients.
- Experience and demonstrated competence in budget and financial administration, including cost tracking and analysis.
- Understanding of public sector systems and processes, including accountability requirements and the use of performance information to inform decision-making.
- Visibly committed to achieving equity, champions Te Ao Māori approaches within your work and uses leadership to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $72,643 and $93,591 based on skills and experience.
