Te tūranga - The role

The Senior Project Manager will be instrumental in delivering key initiatives in Te Pūtea Matua's investment portfolio.

The initial assignment will be to deliver a granular data collection capability to aid Te Pūtea Matua in further enabling data driven decision making for economic analysis, monetary policy, risk-based supervision, and prudential regulations.

This project supports our role as kaitiaki of the financial system while also unlocking opportunities for more insights and predictive analysis, enabling us to act with speed and agility in response to future events.

Ō pūkenga - About you

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • At least 7 years' experience in project management with experience in application development or business change delivery.
  • Experience as a project manager with significant experience with methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, Scrum or Prince 2.
  • Project Management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRiNCE2, Agile, etc.) preferred.
  • Relevant industry or technical qualification and certifications and commitment to on-going professional development.
  • Experience working within banking / financial sector preferred.
  • Proven experience with delivering modern digital platforms, such as low-code, analytics; integration and as-a-service solutions.
  • Experience in the successful delivery of project business cases, technology project plans, project budgets and outputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate them into project plans and business cases.
  • Experienced in leading and managing teams and cross-functional teams and able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong technical leadership abilities with the capability to influence and ensure the achievement of results through others.
  • Experience managing vendors, ideally with RFP development experience.
  • Ability to lead change and ensure key stakeholders are fully involved.
  • Proven working knowledge of project management disciplines and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and report on project variances and trends.
  • Strong organisational skills, including multi-tasking and time-management.
