Description
We are on the lookout for a self-motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s successful Quantity surveying team. In the role you will be focused on Project Quantity Surveying, with emphasis on contractual and financial work during the project. The salary is negotiable and dependent on experience but will be in the region of $140,000-$160,000.

You will be working for a large, well established sub-contractor. Our client has been operating for 20 years and have built up an enviable reputation for delivering high quality sub-contracting services. Your duties will include:
· Managing Junior and Intermediate QS’s in addition to your own projects.
· Running all the commercial and financial aspects of projects being carried out.
· Main contractors contact and cost reporting.
· Site visits for pre-programming and during construction.
· Managing variations and claims.
· Overseeing projects with total values ranging form $8-80million.
About you:
· 6+ years experience of working as a QS for a sub-contractor experience (e.g. scaffolding, steel, concrete, façades, or roofing), NZ experience highly desirable but not essential.
· Experience in cost planning, bills of quantity preparation, measuring cost plans and contract administration.
· Successfully managing costs through project life cycle.
· Able to confidently navigate your way around sites and provide technical knowledge to the engineering and building teams.
· Working across multiple projects.
· Excellent communication skills. You must be able to convey communication professionally and assertively to all involved.
· A relevant tertiary education qualification.
· Estimating is not a large part of this role; strong contractual and financial abilities are preferred and will be needed.
