Service Manager – Christchurch 

 

Te Haeata/The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced people leader to fill a vacancy in Courts and Tribunals   areas of the Christchurch District Court in a permanent, full-time capacity.

This role is one of 11 Court Managers and reports to the Manager of Justice Services Canterbury.

The purpose of this operational management people leadership role is managing performance to ensure the day-to-day quality and timeliness of delivery of court services.  This role is responsible for the performance of the team, including service and performance improvement.

 

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need the following Skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Operational management experience, ideally in the District Court and Tribunals environment.
  • Previous experience in managing and developing the capability of staff.
  • Proven leadership skills to motivate and lead staff to achieve targets and understand their contribution to the bigger picture.
  • Good track record in supporting and implementing changes to business and work processes.
  • Be adaptable in a changing operations and customer centric environment.
  • You will also possess well-developed interpersonal skills which will enable you to establish relationships and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical, tactical, and strategic ability

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $125,683 based on skills and experience.
