Services Engineer (M&E Building Services)

We are searching for a high-performing M&E Services Engineer to add value and experience to a west Auckland data centre project. Applicants must have a proven track record of taking ownership for delivering services on a commercial site. You will work in a collaborative team environment, with support from an experienced and highly capable team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of services throughout all phases of construction. Services include lifts, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, communications, access control, fire alarms, fire sprinklers and BMS. Construction phases include pre-construction, value engineering, construction, commissioning and client training.

Key tasks:
- Managing subcontractors and staff to meet budget and programme
- Following through from services design and coordination into implementation
- Commissioning and handover process
- Arranging utilities connections to the project
- Time management, planning and organisation skills

Key experience required:
- Previous experience as a Services Engineer in the construction industry, minimum 4 years
- Previous experience working with a 1st or 2nd tier building contractor, minimum 2 years
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience in design and construction/installation
- Experience in commissioning of all services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily build rapport

The salary for the position is in the range of $120-150k, dependent on experience.
