Description
We are searching for a high-performing M&E Services Engineer to add value and experience to our interiors team. Applicants must have a proven track record of taking ownership for delivering mechanical and electrical services on a commercial site. You will work in a collaborative team environment, with support from an experienced and highly capable team.
You will be responsible for the delivery of services throughout all phases of construction. Services include lifts, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, communications, access control, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, plumbing and BMS. Construction phases include pre-construction, value engineering, construction, commissioning, and client training.
Key tasks:
- Managing subcontractors and staff to meet budget and programme
- Following through from services design and co-ordination into implementation
- Commissioning and hand over process
- Arranging utilities connections to the project
- Time management, planning and organisation skills
Key experience required:
- Previous experience as a Services Engineer in the construction industry, minimum 4 years
- Previous experience working with a 1st or 2nd tier building main contractor, minimum 2 years
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience in design and construction/installation
- Experience in commissioning of all services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily build rapport
The salary for the position is in the range of $120-140k, dependent on experience.
