Team Administrator, Visits and Events

Do you want to take your career to the next step? Do you have a can-do attitude? We are looking to develop a talented and energetic individual to support our dynamic Visits and Ceremonial Office team.

The Visits and Ceremonial Office (VCO) is a team within Ministerial and Secretariat Services, Shared Services Branch, Department of Internal Affairs. We are responsible for organising and managing official visits, ceremonies, and events on behalf of the Government.

VCO is looking to develop a star administrator to be part of an incredible team that delivers high quality Guest of Government visits and National events such as Anzac Day, State Funerals and annual commemorations.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong background in administration with an exceptional eye for detail
  • the ability to work under pressure
  • strong skills in Microsoft Office and an aptitude to learn new systems quickly

In addition, we are looking for someone who can show initiative in a busy work place environment, is confident dealing with a wide range of tasks and a team player.

The ability to work autonomously and irregular hours is required for this position. An understanding of official visits and previous experience interacting with foreign dignitaries within events would be advantageous.
