About the Role:

As they continue to expand their operation, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Director to oversee business operations for all building services and commissioning management projects in the Wellington/Lower North Island region.

As the Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role overseeing business operations and managing day-to-day activities within the Wellington office. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, ensuring successful project delivery, driving business development initiatives, and upholding highest standards of client care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Line Manager for Associates, providing leadership, guidance and training
  • Oversee project management and delivery
  • Preparing pricing, tenders, proposal and estimates for new projects
  • Ensure compliance with NZ engineering and commissioning standards
  • Manage project progress claims
  • Drive business development and cultivate client relationships

About you:

Ideally you will have following skills…

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on building services and commissioning management
  • Strong staff management, leadership, and business management skills
  • Exceptional client care and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to develop business through repeat work or established networks
  • New Zealand experience is a must – vast knowledge of NZ building codes, standards NZ green star process etc.
