Technical Lead Bridge Engineering

My client are an established, leading multinational engineering consultancy with a successful track record in Aotearoa NZ spanning many decades. With a diverse service offering locally across transportation, buildings and water an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and locally networked Technical Lead/Principal Bridge Engineer. You will be joining a growing transportation team and tasked with growing and developing a world-class Bridge Engineering offering locally. The role will offer a competitive salary of $170 K - $190 K + a range of benefits.

Ko te āheitanga: The opportunity
This is a new and unique to market opportunity to lead Bridge Engineering across Aotearoa NZ. Based from central, modern Auckland offices you will work on a range of varied and challenging projects nationally as well as supporting major projects in Australia and further afield. The role will suit an experienced and connected Technical Lead Bridge Engineer confident in the delivery of projects from initial feasibility and concept to detailed design, assessments and strengthening.

With a successful track record working on significant infrastructure/bridge projects, you will possess developed technical skills and be commercially astute. You will be well respected in the local engineering market with existing relationships across central and local government such as Auckland Transport, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Authority and Kiwi Rail.

• 10 years + consultancy experience including on major NZ based projects
• Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineering NZ (CPEng)
• Confident leading projects and work packages of varied complexity to successful client focussed, commercial outcomes
• Able to build meaningful client relationships based on integrity, respect and trust
• Collaborative leadership style and positive disposition
• Ambitious, driven and keen to make your mark on the local bridge engineering space
